Short description
|
The specific objective of the project was to promote environmental awareness among farmers working in the Park, pre-Park and nearby areas, spreading the use of environmental – friendly biological agricultural techniques. It also included visits to some farms of the Provinces of Ferrara and Ravenna, which have carried out projects in line with Reg. 2078/92 Actions A.1, A.2 e Impegno G, as well as meetings with the experts to discuss application methods for environmental – friendly agricultural production and flanking measures for those farms that choose to adopt agricultural techniques for the safeguard of environment and rural landscape. |

Results
|
Wide participation on the part of farmers, experts representing the associations of the Provinces of Ferrara and Ravenna, free-lance agronomists and officials of the Department of Agriculture of the Provincial Authority of Ferrara (146 persons). Farmers have had the opportunity to learn more about the methods and techniques to develop integrated and biological productions, as well as to make a comparison, also in financial terms, between traditional agricultural techniques and new techniques with a low environmental impact |

Literature distributed at the meetings: 1) Technical and economic sheets of the farms to be visited by the experts; 2) Information material on the techniques of biological and sustainable agriculture in the Regional Parks and Natural Reserves of Emilia Romagna, edited by AIAB as part of the programme for organisational activities and technical support with the financial contribution of the Region Emilia Romagna according to Art. 3 L.R. 52/90. |
