The
strategy
The guidelines
set by the EU outline the strategy of LAEDER + in a
way to make it a unique and innovative programme.
- Synergy between operators, sectors and projects working
on a central theme that is typical of the area and its
know-how, which becomes the focus of the development
strategy:
Identifying the focus
- Consistency and sustainability in the use of resources
- PILOT strategy: new products and services, new methods
to connect local resources to favour the development
of local potential
- Transferability of the proposed methods
- Complementarity with other interventions to be carried
out in the area
The LAG DELTA 2000 has identified its strategy, which
focuses on the fourth theme of the EU guidelines: enhancement
of natural and cultural resources, including the sites
of EU environmental interest of NATURE 2000. At local
level the focus theme is the enhancement of natural
and cultural resources of the Delta in Emilia-Romagna.
Main objectives:
- Support the safeguard and sustainable use of local
resources
- Widen the boundaries of protected natural areas protecting
and supporting biodiversity
-Develop nature-oriented activities
- Increase the employability of the area
-Involve local communities in the creation of a "culture
of the Park"
- Contribute to the creation of a system of local offer.
The GAL developed a strategy that is not the outcome
of theoretical discussions but rather the result of
long consultations at local level. Then strategy focuses
on the following priorities, which in turn become primary
objectives:
- Reinforce the environmental heritage of the Delta
embedding it in the structure of an ecosystem-territorial
model
- Improve, organise and create a network of all resources
in terms of environment, history, culture and landscape
- Support the differentiation and improvement of the
entrepreneurial offer in all its aspects
- Support the access of the local system of the Po delta
to national and foreign markets
- Reinforce and widen cooperation networks.
The development of each of these priorities calls for
a series of interventions to be carried out through
the integration between different planning tools and
financing measures for the Delta territory. The LEADER
+ and the GAL will grant homogeneity in the strategy,
in close contact with all institutional levels - regional,
provincial, local, as well as with an active participation
on the part of the private sector.
