Action 6 - Safeguard of life standards and the environment
The main objective was enhancing the rural landscape and environment for the homogeneous development of the Leader II area. In practice this resulted in pilot projects for the protection and the enhancement of the natural heritage and the definition of recovery methods to be applied to architecture and ecosystems of the rural landscape. Particular attention has been devoted to the improvement of the access to natural areas in order to favour the introduction and development of sustainable and environment-oriented tourism in the Po Delta area. The action promoted and supported international cooperation projects dealing with environmental themes.
These interventions have been carried out mainly with local bodies and public institutions. Action 6 saw a total investment of   1.062.001,97 and a total public participation of   660.972,33.
