Intervention 6.2, Pilot Projects for the enhancement of natural areas

Project “Restoration of structures in the Po Delta Area” – Municipality of Ostellato
The project envisages the creation of a natural path and building from the Terza Valle to the wood of S. Camillo in the area of the Vallette di Ostellato, to give birdwatchers the opportunity to watch wetland species and have access to the whole area. The new structure will consist mainly in natural elements, as reeds and wood. The peculiarity of the intervention resides in the creation of a building that is sheltered enough to be used also in the winter. The path envisaged by the project connects all the natural sites of the area. The use of environmental –friendly materials in the creation of structures to give access to natural areas is part of the research for sustainable development in the Southern area of the Province of Ferrara promoted by delta 2000 in the framework of EU Initiative Leader II.
