International cooperation projects
LAG DELTA 2000 (Po Delta, Italy) - LAG GFW (Westfalien - Germany)
The cooperation project approved by the AEIDL envisaged a first phase devoted to the exchange of experiences between the Southern part of the Province of Ferrara and Germany. This phase focused mainly on organisation of production, marketing and promotion of agricultural products, the identification of commercial ways for direct sale and the organisation of joint rural markets.
The visit of the GFW representatives to the Southern part of the Province of Ferrara provided the opportunity to meet economic operators working in the area who shared their experiences in terms of marketing and promoting local products through festivals and similar events. Besides the LAG DELTA 2000, as well as the representatives of the local agricultural sector had the opportunity to know more about the region of Westfalien, with particular attention to the experience of income integration in agriculture. November 2000 saw the organisation of the seminar Pilot projects for landscape and environmental promotion in the Po Delta and in the Höxter region, which marked an important moment of exchange between two different rural realities.
