Guidance for entrepreneurial initiatives in tourism and connected sectors - Vocational training institute  
The course was based on the analysis of a research study carried out by the vocational training institute on the vocation to independent entrepreneurship in the tourist sector in the Southern part of the Province of Ferrara. The course saw the participation of 8 young unemployed and was structured in 100 hours of lessons and a 300-hours stage in a tourist enterprise. The latter was aimed at giving the participants direct knowledge of the tourist sector, in order to let them make a well-considered choice in terms of entrepreneurial risks. The lessons dealt with self-evaluation of entrepreneurial potential, self commitment and the creation of a tourist enterprise. The course ran from March to October 1999 and the participants received a certificate of attendance.
