Intervention 5.1 - Guidance actions
Learning
how to set up an enterprise. School seminars - Vocational
training institute
The course was aimed at 18 students from fourth
and fifth high school classes. It aimed at helping the
participants in finding out their vocations and skills,
as well as an eventual desire to start an independent
profession. The students were asked to sketch out their
own "professional portrait", outlining their
skills and potential and defining their expectations
for the future. Then they were asked to analyse the
professional profile of the entrepreneur and the local
economic environment. Finally they had to draw up a
proposal for a project including all the technical information
necessary for evaluation and implementation. The course
was the outcome of the cooperation with schools and
envisaged the use of interactive educational tools as
videos and cd-roms, as well as remote training. The
course lasted from October 1999 to April 2000, for a
total of 40 hours, 16 of which devoted to remote training.
