Intervention 5.2 - Refresher actions
Old
traditions for ancient tastes - Vocational training
institute
The project aimed at enhancing the wine and
food heritage of the Ferrara area. It is an integrated
project in that it envisaged a research phase to re-discover
ancient recipes of the lowlands and of Ferrara, as well
as a 60-hours course for 14 people working in restaurants.
The research project was called MARTINA (acronym from
Mare, Ambiente, Ristorazione tipica, Turismo, Itinerari
enogastronomici, Natura ed Accoglienza di qualità
- Sea, Environment, Typical restaurants, Tourism, Wine
and food itineraries, Nature and Quality tourism) and
resulted in the publication of a promotional brochure
listing all the restaurants participating in the initiative,
and a second brochure with historical indications and
environmental routes that re-discover the ancient recipes
of the area. This promotional material will be distributed
at fairs and events, and to tour operators, travel agencies
and tourist information offices.
