Intervention 5.2 - Refresher courses 

Refresher course for tour guides aimed at providing environmental knowledge - Project managed by the LAG DELTA 2000 
The 90 hours of this refresher course were targeted at professional tour guides operating in the Po Delta area. The course aimed at informing the guides on the innovations brought about in terms of tourist products and the consequences in terms of demand for knowledge and skills in specific areas that go beyond the historical and cultural themes. These are the skilled requested by "green tourists" Lectures and missions on the spot were carried out in order to acquire the necessary knowledge to identify local vegetation and bird and fish species. The lectures dealt with the themes of land reclamation and the marshes, local landscape and rural architecture. The course also included visits to the Municipal Museum of natural History of the Po Delta in Ostellato, the Marshes of Comacchio, the Environmental Museum of Campotto, the Saltworks of Cervia, the fish market and the Inlet of Goro, as well as a visit to Orbetello (GR). Of the 26 guides who applied for the course, 14 obtained a certificate of attendance.
