Intervention 5.2 - Refresher courses
The
Museum of the Roman Ship in Comacchio. Training courses
and awareness-raising seminars for teachers and cultural
operators - Project managed by the LAG DELTA 2000
This activity is strictly linked with the opening of
the Museum of the Roman Ship in Comacchio. It aimed
at informing teachers of all the schools in the Provinces
of Ferrara and Ravenna, as well as local cultural operators
- directors of museums, libraries, tourist guides, etc
- of the opening of the Museum and its cultural and
historical importance. The first step has been to provide
a historical term of reference, defining periods preceding
and following that of the Roman ship. Secondarily, particular
attention was devoted to the Augustan Age and the historical
context of the Roman ship. Findings and load of the
ship were presented, and their symbolic values analysed.
The lectures were followed by a visit to the Museum.
Delta 2000 also prepared educational routes for the
different users of the Museum. The seminar saw the participation
of 31 people, including teachers of all school levels,
cultural operators and tour guides.
