DELTA 2000 focuses its activities on local development through economic promotion, enhancement of the rural territory and technical assistance to third parties. The main aim of our Agency is promoting local resources and economic activities in a harmonised and integrated way in order to start a local development process based on the self-representation of local
communities.
By planning and carrying out interventions aimed at boosting local economy, DELTA 2000 aims at creating new significant opportunities for local development, focussing its attention on existing local resources and potential and enhancing the particular characteristics of the territory.
Our Agency is also a technical tool in the implementation, coordination and management and economic and technical reporting of actions and projects belonging to economic and local programmes, to support local bodies, associations, operators and the community as a whole. DELTA 2000 works through a synergy of all local forces and the constitution of a confidence-based environment to foster entrepreneurial spirit.
Its strategy is based on the bottom-up principle. Plans and guidelines are outlined at the "bottom" with the involvement of all local actors. This brings about local partnerships that define joint and integrated development strategies in line with the differences of the territory, in order to increase the attractiveness of the area and create a single identity shared by all local communities.
To this purpose DELTA 2000 carries out promotion actions at local level, plans and implements harmonised projects and interventions, organises training courses and technical assistance in planning, implementation and reporting for intervention programmes linked with EU, National, Regional and local directives.
